Ya que Aibonito se encuentra a solo 25 millas del Canal de Vieques, estaremos haciendo todo lo posible por proteger nuestra siembra del Huracán Omar: verificando/mejorando canales y zanjas, guareciendo semillero dentro del ranchito de herramientas, recogiendo cualquier escombro cercano que pueda volar sobre las camas. Lo sembrado no se puede tapar pues los vientos fuertes arrastrarían el material y posiblemente aportarían al posible daño. Verificando estructura del ranchito.

Since Aibonito is only 25 miles away from the Vieques Channel, we are working on all possible precautions for the arrival of Hurricane Omar: strengthening ditches and canals, moving potted seedlings into tool shed, checking shed's structure, removing any possible loose item(s) in the area that may be lifted and thrown into our beds by the winds. The plants on the ground should not be covered since winds may turn covers into damaging material over young plants...
